ufo-files is a static catalog and full mirror of the U.S. Department of War's UAP/UFO file releases at war.gov/UFO/ — the Presidential Unsealing & Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) program. Every record links to both a local mirror (with sha256 committed to the manifest) and the original upstream URL, so the catalog survives upstream changes.
Why a separate mirror
Government release indexes get rebuilt, re-paginated, and silently retitled. Public-records sites also have a habit of vanishing during transitions. This catalog snapshots the upstream CSV per release, diffs it, and re-serves every PDF / image / DVIDS video so a working copy of the public record is durable.
Each entry carries an upstream URL, a local mirror path, a sha256, byte count, and content-type. Browsers can pull from the mirror, link back to the original, or cross-check the file integrity from the checked-in manifest.
